Our Vision

The centre broader vision and scope is to pursue an integrated science and engineering program by utilising emerging nanotechnologies to develop advanced carbon materials, devices/systems, and carbon technologies for renewable energy, environmental remediation, and biomedical applications.

One of the centre’s unique strengths is applying advanced synthetic methods to the development of multifunctional advanced carbon materials with well-defined multidimensional structures for multifunctional applications, including carbon-based metal-free catalysts pioneered by the Centre Director, Professor Liming Dai, and co-workers.
